I wanted to include some nice pictures, so I thought I'd make a companion post to the Honda Man's original post (I promise it gets more interesting than a 911 turbo).

1. 80s Porsche 930 Cabriolet

Kinja'd!!!

Exactly like this one.

2. 80s Range Rover Classic two door

Kinja'd!!!

Also in white.

3. Ford Model T Runabout

Kinja'd!!!

I want to learn to drive one of these someday.

4. Citroën DS

Kinja'd!!!

Pure elegance.

5. 1911 Stanley Steam Car

Kinja'd!!!

These are absurdly complicated to operate, and I think they are the coolest thing ever.

6. 1989 Toyota Soarer Turbo 7MGTE AEROCABIN

Kinja'd!!!

Weird 80's JDM model with retractable roof and digital dash. The only thing I have to say is HNNNG

7. Maserati 3500

Kinja'd!!!

Because Ferraris are boring, and this blue is sublime. Positively gorgeous vehicle.

8. 1995 Mercedes SL 73 AMG

Kinja'd!!!

One of my favorite designs, so why not take the super rare version with the engine that went into the Zonda?

9. 2011 Cadillac CTS–V Wagon

Kinja'd!!!

Needed a ski car, something modern, and something American. Perfect combo.

10. Morgan 3–Wheeler

Kinja'd!!!

Finally, some inimitable British charm.

It's fun to dream, isn't it?

It's so hard to choose just 10! After seeing a ton of C6s in person here in Paris though, I find them even more beautiful in person. Awesome car.

We were supposed to travel to Paris last November to celebrate me turning ... older, but the GF's dad got ill, then died, and she had to spend 3 weeks in Okinawa, so there went the vacation. I look forward to visiting your glorious city, probably this year.

We'd booked at the hotel that has Le Comptoir , a brasserie recommended by Anthony Bourdain, only because we would then not have to wait 6 months to get in. A friend is a travel writer and said November/December is the best time to come. We'll see. Family issues are keeping us in Manhattan right now. Damn and blast.

And a beer would be great, as would any other recommendations you have.

Sure they can. They could have another sportscar or hypercar in the place of my Range Rover and replace my Speed 8 with an actual street car. Besides, I left out greats like the GT40 and F40 (I left it off because I knew everyone would have it).

Kinja'd!!! Manuél Ferrari > CAcoalminer
01/24/2015 at 19:23

but leaving the Range Rover off the list would be bad. You need at least one big and practical car for situations where you're carying around a lot of people are stuff

And you can't leave the speed eight off the list either. It's too beautiful and unique

As far as the GTs go I have no answer to that. It is a shame to not have at least one of them on the list.

10 is not enough. A man of your taste needs a 15 car garage

I am in the minority when it comes to driving cars

My Dad only likes to have one DD and one alternate for getting around town. He only drives his other cars on the weekends. He doesn't like switching controls.

I on the other hand switch so often that it's no big deal that different cars have things in different places. I will literally switch cars after just a day or two.

I am lucky because I have a much shorter and easier commute than him. I can totally understand why you would want to be 100% confident that you have all controls memorized when you're driving 20 miles each way on the freeway. My commute is so short that it doesn't really matter.

Oh wait I'm not lucky, I moved to be closer to work and he didn't. We both lived by the beach and he decided to put the business where it is now in Anaheim. There were actually cheaper buildings in Santa Ana, which was much closer to Newport Beach. I was really pushing for Santa Ana but he didn't want to relocate the business out of North Orange County. It would have been awesome if it was near the Santa Ana postal hub. That is the ideal location for our business because all of our bulk mail gets picked up by a semi truck and taken to that hub. We probably could have had a later pickup time if we were by that hub, which would benefit production. And it that hub is at the southern edge of Santa Ana, which can be reached from Newport Beach using side streets if the freeway is jammed. Since he picked Anaheim he had to keep using the freeway and I decided to move to be closer to work. I do like where I'm at because you get more house for the money but the climate was much nicer at the beach. It's a lot drier inland and it kills your skin. My poor dog is having lots of trouble since the move. He sometimes scratches his skin so bad that it bleeds.

Sorry about the ramble about location. As far as variety I do love variety. I rarely ever have the same kind of food two nights in a row. That's why it's so hard to sell cars that I like. Even if I only drive them once every week or two I still drive them. And it's super fun and exciting every time I do because I haven't driven it in a while.

Kinja'd!!! CAcoalminer > Manuél Ferrari
01/24/2015 at 21:58

Kinja'd!!!1

No problem. Location is definitely an important factor. I can remember that my wife and I started with an apartment near downtown, moved to our first house which was still fairly close to downtown, moved to the suburbs and had a 35ish minute commute each way, and are now back in town kind of (we live in Highland Park).

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Can you give him moisturizer or anything?

There's no problem with that. As long as you are happy, that is all that matters.

Kinja'd!!! Manuél Ferrari > CAcoalminer
01/24/2015 at 22:10

I looked up Highland Park. That is much closer to downtown than our Texas facility is. Our Texas facility is in Carrollton.

I thought of doing that too. I asked the vet and they gave me fish oil pills. They seem to help a bit. The desert climate out here gets very dry.

That being said, I'm kind of looking for a rarer color. Something like a Bianco Avus, Bianco Fuji, or Argento Nurburgring. I would like to see a blu TDF also. The problem is, there aren't many scuds in those colors, let alone 16Ms.
